Which Macs does Floppy run on?
Any Mac with macOS 26 or later, Apple silicon or Intel.
Does Floppy delete anything on its own?
Never. Floppy only touches what you put in the Tray. Move to Trash waits three seconds and sends files to the macOS Trash, so you can still restore them. Deleting for good needs the Option key and a confirmation.
Is it a subscription?
No. Floppy costs $4.99 once on the Mac App Store, with every update included.
What is hidden space?
Space that is in use but that the scan could not read: the system volume, other users' files, local Time Machine snapshots, and protected folders. Floppy shows it as its own slice and explains it, instead of leaving a gap.
Does it scan external drives?
Yes. Every mounted disk shows up in Locations; scan it like your startup disk. You can also scan any single folder.
Does Floppy send my data anywhere?
No. Floppy has no account, no network connection, no analytics and no tracking. Your file names and sizes never leave your Mac.
